The affable Dagwood goes into nuclear science(!) with this promotional giveaway. Giveaways like this were immensely popular during the 1940s and were used not only as propaganda by the government and corporations, they also promoted merchandise as well (e.g. Buster Brown promoting Buster Brown shoes). While the giveaway here doesn't sport a cover showcasing much artistic talent, inside one will find character appearances of Popeye, Olive Oyl, the Katzenjammer Kids, Henry, Mandrake the Magician, and Little King. Overstreet puts a value of $70.00 on this item in top grade, that's ridiculously low! Just go out and try and find a copy of this cool promo!
