This example of L.B. Cole's paperback novel work shows his ability to weave an intriguing cover composed of several elements. Note how the curl of smoke rising wistfully above the man's head caresses happier times while that same smoke element cuts through the wife and groom. The back cover of this novel is also interesting and was used on many of the books that had Cole covers. This copy is for sale and has a small chip out of the front cover, a spine roll, and a name is written on the first page. The page quality is decent with some yellowing and tanning of the edges.
