Marvel Mystery Comics #46

August 1943 Timely
What could be better than a World War II cover chock full of marvelous mayhem by non other than Alex Schomburg. Here, we have a buxom babe and Bucky(?) being rescued by the Human Torch as Hitler and his devilish minions look on. There are a few interesting elements to note on this cover: Hitler is green (with envy?), the worm coming out of Hitler's ear hole, his chair is made from human skulls and bones, the Nazis on the upper right are zombies, and the green vulture perched atop the Swastika. While the predicament of the victims is dire, many of the elements are comical.
